aoheolr, 1 found tbat there were about
thirty pupils girls for whom there was
no room without overerowdlng the schools
and who were therefore net promoted. Tbe
number of primary aa well aa Intermediate
aaboele.waa recently considerably Increased
while tbat of tbe ascendary has been de
creased. There were 60 mere pupils In
arerage attendance in tbe aoheola of tbla
grade, for tbe month of Deeember this
year than one year age, and therefore, in
view of all these facts, I recommend that
an additional teaeher be placed in Mlaa
Huber'e room, oerner of Prince and (Jheat.
net streets, and that these puplla be aent
there.

tendered for her faithful discharge of all
duties.

a teacher of the Walnut atreet intermediate
aoheol, waa presented and the resignation
waa aoeepted.

tion of Miss Stabl, Miss Minnie Raub, a

building, waa eleeted by acclamation.
This left two vacancies In tbe lower

associate with them.
Tbe crowd then gathered absut tbe
drover, who was still lying llkeadead man.

house of Jehn Belle, near by, and wm
afterwards removed te the hotel of Bankaen
