Who Owns That Team ;
At sundown Friday a team of bay
horse hitched te a deuble-seated carriage
was captured by Geerge Sandee en the
read near his home la Salisbury township
The reins were dragging under the horses'
hoofs and the animals were nearly ex
hausted. In the bottom of the carriage lay
a colored man, who was se drunk that he
was unable te talk or de anything. Mr.
Sandee stabled the horses, fed them and
removed the foam whleh covered tbem.
The colored men was earrted Inte the
stable, and buckets of wster were thrown
upon him, but he did net revive. Mr.
Sandee Is a butcher and attends the Cen
tral market. When he left for this city the
colored men was still In desthly stupor.

young Phllsdelphlan, by fraudulent d rails.
Rev. Dr. J. Fry, of Reading, Is a personal
friend of Pelpsr's father, who resides In
Philadelphia, and a few days age the young
man called upon Dr. Fry and asked him
for suOlclent money te buy ticket te Lan
caster. The ticket was furnished by Dr.
Fry's son, Rev. C. L. Fry, of Lan
caster. Several days later Pelper
gain called upon Dr. Fry and pre
aented n draft en E. B. Pelper, broker,
420 Walnnt street, Philadelphia, for ft,
and requested the roverend gentleman te
cash It, telling him te retain the price of the
tleket te Lancaster, Dr. iTty, however, did
net cash the paper. On Friday Pelper
drew up another draft for f', which he
