The past week has been a busy one with
tobacco growers. Oa almost every fsrm In
the county, men aud bej p, and In sniie In
Maneea women aud girls, hae been busy
from morning until night setting out the
young plants. It Is estimate that lully
three-fourths, If net teur-tilths el the entire
planting has been accomplished, and that the
acreage by the end el the planting season will
be lully as large It uet larger thin last year.
The weather has been propitious and the
only complaints thus far heard are that the
cut worms are unusually numerous and are
playing havoe with the young plants.
