the time for tbe lights of tbe clock te burn.
They therefore have net likely seen it since
the eclipse upon it. The ether commissioner

At tbe last meeting or the Westminster
presbytery, which was held in Lebanon, a
committee was appointed te organize a new
church In Yerk. That committee consisted
of Rev. H.K. Nlles, I). D., Rev. James Mc
Dougal, Ph. D., Rev. T. Crawford, Rev. Gee.
L. Smith, and Elders J. M. Brown and 1. W.
Allen.
A meeting was held Mendsy evening in
tbe Presbyterian chapel, Tferk. Thirty-eight
members or tbe First Presbyterlsn church
were dismissed te organize themselves in the
new one te be known as the Westminster
church of Yerk. Rev. Crawford preached
tbe sermon, and Prof. A. B. Carner and H. S.
Myers were elected elders. Dr. McDougal
made tha ordination prayer, and Rev. Gee.
L Smith gave the charge te the congregation.
Prof. A. Ji. Carner, Messrs. H. s. Myers,
Geerge A. Shetrene and W. L Cresley were
elected trustees.
The new congregation have ptircbased a let
and will erect a stone church the coming
summer. Rev. McNalr is the pister.
