said: " I can't tell you much about the way
tbe thing happened. It was as quick as a
Hub, and hew I get through the millions of
splinters and falling timbers I don't knew.
When I get up the cars were en fire, and I
could hear tbe tieeple, all crying out in
ageny for help. I was semewhat dazed, but

calamity. The sights were terrible. There
seemed te be wounded peeple everywhere,
and all were crying for aid. I was covered

Mr. Forrester has a very severe contusion

striking some timber when he and his seat
were forced through the reef or the car. The

suicide or tbe Marquise de Hey.
Mme. de lleya was a charming blonde of
thirty-lour years of age and wasafashlonable
beauty. Dreased in a mauve silk tote de

apartment en the third story of Se. 35 Hue
deVarcnnea. In her fall she struck against
the top of a lamp-pest, breaking ber thigh
and smashing the glass panes of the lamp

with a crash upon the stone and her skull
was fractured.
It was a fearful thing te see the marqulie
as sbe lay en the pavement, with her beauti
ful blonde hair matted with bleed and brains.
This terrible suicide was due te ever-sidle-ment
from which the marquise had been
sudering since the death of her husband last
week. The Marquise de Kovs had been
deputy for the department of Aube since

make nn effort te prevent It. Dinah's hill is
well-known as one of tbe faverale coasting
