A very serious railroad wreck occurred en
the Pennsylvania railroad about 200 yard"
Kj west of Mountvllle station at S o'clock this
iVv merniug. The train that suOered was last

William Dreen, a repairman en the Penn
sylvania railroad, who work In the gang

met with a serious accldent this morning.
The men were engaged putting lu a siding at
the new hotel and tobacco exchange Just east
of the passenger station, llreeu and sevaral
ethers unleaded a patent switch from a hand
car en the south track, near the Duke street
bridge, and carried it ever te tne kink by the
sldoel the north track where they Intended
lying It down. As they were turning the
switch ever It "lipped and fell upon llreen'a
leg, breaking It Iwtween the ankle and knee.
The limb was also cut In dltlerent places.
The Injured man was taken Inte the bagaage
room where he was attended by Dr. Web
ehsns, and was alterwards removed te bis
home, 615 Spruce street.

The exhibition el chrysanthemums glveu
tinder the auspice or the Lancaster county
agricultural association, In the Lancaster
rink last week, closed Monday evening at 10
o'clock. The show was net a success finan
cially, owing te the very bad weather of Fri
day and Saturday, which prevented the at
tendance of visitors. But In every ether re
spect the show was a great success. It was
net supposed that it would be possible te
