Officer Wlttlck arrested Jeseph Ilaley, well
known In the police courts as " Iialtimere
Jee," for drunkenness and disorderly con
duct about the station of the Pennsylvania
railroad. This morning he was given a
hearing before 'Squire Evans aud was setit
te Jail ter three days.
Jesse Beuntz, a partner et Haley, was ar
retted en the same charge by OfUcer Hard
nele last night along the river shore.
'Hqulre Frank sent him te Jail for three
days.
Death of tTin. nickten,
William H. llickten, employed at the
Pennsylvania railroad round beuse as a
machinist, died at his bearding beuse, "05
Veplar street, en Hunday evening alter an ill
ness of some time. The death resulted from
gangrene. The deceased has no relatives
living In this country and word of bis death
was sent te his parents in England. An
answer was received te bury hlin in America
Tbe funeral will take place from his late
residence en Wednesday morning at ten

A small audience greeted Magee's Comedy
company In the opera house last night, when
an excellent performance was given. The
act el the Dervllle family was a feature el
the pregramme and the singing of tbe little
children, aged 5 and 7 years, was received
