On his return from Etlicntt City, Saturday,
Offlcer Barnheld stepped ever in Baltimore,
from which city he brought William, alias
'Snicker" McMullen, who Is wanted here te
answer the chare of forgery preferred by
AmoaHlableferd, et Marietta. I'pen .irrUlnir

ball for a hearing before Alderman Deen.
"Snicker" Is a young lellew, about years
of age, and well known in this city where be
lived nearly all of his life. He was for a
time with Ames Stablelerd, in Marietta, and
Iter leaving him he forged his name ami
went te Baltimore, In that city he nxumnl
the name of Henry Myers and seen found
employment as a waiter in a tough re-ort,
en Baltimore street, known as the 1-tenth
Freliques. The police had been shadowing
"Snicker" and one evening in August a de
tective walked into his place of employment
aad told him quietly that be was wanted,
MeMullen said " wait till I get my hat and
coat" The detective agreed and McMullen
disappeared in a private box from which he
did net again come out, but nude his

way was learned. Once out of the detective's

before the astonished cook learned where he
had come from he disappeared. The people
in the eating beuse were se frightened that
many of them ran out into tbe street and get
away without paying for their meais.

Michael I.evelle, an Italian boy, 15 years
