The freight movement of the I'enusylranla
railroad was very heavy between twelve and
atx o'clock this morning. During these hours
thirty freight trains were sent from Colum

much needed Improvement.
The Columbia Iren company has received
the contract for furnishing all tbe iron needed
in the construction of tbe Hallways in tbe

About a car and a half went ever him. Sam
uel Brown, another car Inspector, wai stand

occurred. Keyton was taken te the railroad

Miles Keck, also a high school graduate,
chief of the Guatemala boundary commission,
Mexico, stating that he was glad an alumni
association was formed, and that be hopes te
be present at Beme future reunion. He writes
that he Is in a far-away corner of the world,
in a wilderness, distant from eveu tbe meat
outlying Indlau villages In tbe mountains et
Guatemala.
Verdict of Accidental Kllliee.
Deputy Corener Wakeman Wesley, who
held the inquest en Nailer Brown, whose
death by being shot by a companion, was
noticed en Saturday, filed his Inquisition In
the coroners' office te-day. The jurors
were J. H. Davis, J. O. Brown, Thes. K.
lloepea, Ij. 1J. Ylncer, Jehn C. Brown and
Jere. MeVey, aud they found that Brown
was killed by the accidental discharge of a
shotgun In the hands of Chas. McNamee,
while gunning together.

en Saturday afternoon, she was knocked
down by a team driven by August Kummtre.
Persons who seen the accident says Kum
tulre was driving reckleasly aud did net

hurt fortunately she was net seriously In
jured. It is only a ftw weeks age that Kuui

young man who sold he was a telegraph

Keller A All wine, of this place, held a large
cattle sale attbe Oreenwalt beuse en Satur
day last, selling 150 bead or cittle. It was
largely attended and geed prices were ob
tained. The Pennsylvania railroad company are at
present making Improvements at aud around
tbe depot here and a new pavemeut has been
laid for a lone distance and new nnt nut
along the gutter, and planks put tu front of
the depot.
A large force of workmen are working at
the "tunnel cut" aud bave done a great
amount el work within the past three
months. Yet it will take many months
berere the great undertaking is completed.
A great many of our people in this
vicinity attended tbe fairs ln-t week; two
