Xiancaster county ever diseased cattle, arose

The feature of Wednesday's services at the
Jeanna Heights cainpmeetlng was the elo
quent sermon of Bishop Mallalieu. of New
Orleans, delivered at the 10:30 service this
morning. Bishop Mallalieu Is about 50 years
et age, and he has preached at several camp
meetings since his visit North. He occupies
a leading position in the Methodist Episcopal
church, and a large crowd gathered te hear
him. The central thought of bis Olsceurse
was that men could alcne be saved through
the power of Ged and complete faith in lllrn
and obeying His commandments. Rev. J.
T. Swindells, of Philadelphia, conducted the
early morning service, and Her. Kli Pickers

An Unexpected Uead el Cabbage.
N. 8. Bewen, residing en Rockland street,
near the tell gate, left a let of cabbage stalks
standing in his garden last winter. This
spring when he began digging he noticed
that one of the stalks had sprouts upon it.

what would come of it, se he broke etl all the
sprouts but one. He did net again leek at
the stalk until a few days age when lie found
that instead of a small sprout there was a
bead of cabbage of unusually large size.
