Funeral of Geerge Herner.
The remains of the late Geerge Herner, w he

Bethel cemetery. Mr. Herner was an old
resident of Columbia, and when he resided

engineer of the monitor Catsklll, and partici
pated in various actions under Admirals
Dupent and Dahlgrtn. Alter the war he
was en special duty at various navy yards,
with a share of Bc-a duty, going a long cruise
en the Asiatic- station. He was prometod te
chief engineer March 6, 1571.
