Twe Slight Accidents.
A young boy named Feley, living en Lan
caster avenue, met with a slight accident by
striking his head against an iron stoeple. He
did net see the obstacle and a severe gash in
the head was the result.
A young girl named Kose Cairns, living
en Seuth Filth street, was running along n
pavement when she stumbled and fell with
such force te the ground that the knee cap
of her left leg was broken.
Disorderly Omltict Came, nn Arrest,
Mrs. Andrew Kane, of Washington
borough, entered suit against llenry Klse,
Geerge Kiseand David Short, living in tbnt
town, at the offlceof Squire Yeung ler dis
orderly conduct and malicious mlschlef.
These young men wero in tee saloon of Andy
Kane and behaved in an objectionable man
ner. A hearing was given tne men yesterday
afternoon when Geerge ICise was acquitted
of all charges. The ether men had te pay
the costs ou the charge of disorderly conduct.
A Snake Story.
A prominent butcher in town la authority
for the following story, and his veracity is
unquestioned : This gontleman was driving
ever the read leading from WlMer's Hill te
the Chlckles creek when he noticed a cat eye
ing an object along a fence. Thinking the
animal was after a Held monse the gentle
man Btepped his team and watched her
actions. Much te his surprise he saw the
cat pounce upon and kill a suake about eigh
teen inches long. The story Beems Incred
ible, but the gentleman says it is positive
truth.

were caught yesterday.

who gave an amateur theatrical performance

The steel points of the machine lacerated his

firefusely and died while being conveyed te

Whlle Jesepn Kothgable was handling a
red-het bar of iron at the rolls In the Penn
sylvanla nut and belt works, at Lebanon, It
twisted from Its course and around his rigid
arm, burning the llesh from the elbow te the
hand into the bone, Kothgable had a similar

when a het bar twisted about bis entire body,

of his clan, asked them which way they wero
travelling, east or west. They informed the

been conversing with two of Christiana's
most prominent citizens.

Place, gave Nathaniel Myers, who rosides at

took a freight train and en me te Lancaster,

neighborhood of the Pennsylvania station,

house. They claim that the meetings of the
Salvation Army In Centre Square attract a
