Rev. Viji. I'. Evans, of the Second street
M. K. church, has hit upon a novel scheme
te raise tbe church debt or 3,000. That
amount is te be divided into 250 shares of $12
each. If one share is subscribed by n mem
ber they pay one dollar a month : if two
shares, two dollars per month and se en In
proportion te the number of shares se much
per mouth te be paid. This makes very easy
payments and within one year the debt et
the church well be totally wiped out. Very
nearly two-thirds or the amount has already
been subscribed.
