Owing te a misunderstanding about the
arrival of the Yerk train, there was no ene te
meet the Yerk base ball club last Saturday.
They telt hichly insulted land immediately
left for Wrightsvilie. Manager Kruin, of the
Columbian, arrived a few minutes alter they
t had left the station, and he at ence started
after them. Using all his persuasions he
tried te get them te return but that was im
possible. They admitted that they had heard
that the Columbia club and the townspeople
would net use them in a decont; manner,
and that they wero afraid te play ball in the
