The Result of a Temporary Ecllpte.
Frem the Alteena Times.
The New Yerk S'ini, which claims te shine
for all, Is evidently a geed deal in the dark
itself, possibly the result of a temporary
eclipse, with regard te the political standing
of our esteemed and excellent contemporary,
the Lancaster Intelligencer, which it
quotes as a Republican paper. Se far from
tills being true, it is a tact patent te eery
newspaper reader in this state, te say the
least, that the Intelligencer is one of the
most steadfast and best edited Democratle
dalllOH In or out of Pennsylvania, and it is
difficult te understand hew se knowing a
journal as the New Yerk Sun could have
fallen into the error of quoting it as Republi
can authority.
Almest a Serious Accident,
Monday evening about 7 o'clock, David
Pleam, a hired boy of AbramGreiT, was com
ing rrem uarevnie en a mule carrying a
spreader. The mule took fright at it and ran
away, throwing the young man off, when
makng the turn from the pike te tbe Herso

Weldler and ethers, and carried te his home
nearby. Dr. Weidler was sent for and no
administered te his wants. Ne bones were
broken, and lie may in a fuw days lie able te
move about again. The boy has been rather
unfortunate or late, as lest week he was
