was superb, but the play is a very light ene;

Building Operation In the Borough,
Numerous repairs are being made te

pastor of the Duke street M. E. church," had

writes from Wheeling W. Va., te deny the
report He is new pastor of a ery flourishing
Methodist church In that city and has no Idea
of leaving the Methodist fellowship. It was
another man of the same name, and as Mr.
Smith, llke his namosake, was formerly of

An Opossum Caught.
This morning about three o'clock "Jack,"
a terrier deg, ewned by Jehn Ii. Uldeneur,
of the City hotel, caught a v cry line large
opossum en North Queen street, near Orange.
The animal was net injured a great deal and
he is new at the hotel. It is supposed that
he was brought te town by seme market peo
ple, fiomwhem he escaped.
