repert: "Your committee, appointed at the last

the building en Seuth Fifth street, known as
Saleme chapel, within the ccntlve of your
beard, would ro3pectfully report that they
had an Intcrview with the colonel and learned

ditions, viz : A valuation te be placed en the
building and a rate of Interest te be paid
annually and applied te the relief of the poerof

and net feeling certain of the availability of
the building for school puriwses en account

Furple, Mrs. J. G. Hess and Mrs. Smith, re
presenting the Columbia industrial school,
requested permission te use ene or mero
rooms of the school buildings forthe purpese
of holding sessions of the industrial school
en Saturday afternoon.
On motion of Mr. Oraybill, the beard ac ac
ceded te the request, provided the school
district will net be at any expense for Jani
tor's sorvlee, cleaning rooms, etc., and that
rooms and meetings lie under direction and
supervision of a committee of three Messrs.
Slude, Tayler and Markel wcre appointed
that commlttce.

The matter of procuring umbrella racks
forthe Poplar street schools was referred te

Last evening Mrs. Henry Haider, residing
at Christian and Church streets, started from

again met her at Odd Fellows hall, where he

Edward T. Millcy, cigar-maker, who lived
at 221 Xerth Mulberry street, and who was

treatment of brain fever, died last evening.
Mr. Millcy was about 32 years old aud leaves
awife but no children. He was a member or
Lancaster ledgo I. O. O. F. His funeral will
take place Sunday ut 'J o'clock, n in., nnd

criminal term of the Lehigh county court,

The father was arrested en the charge of lc

day night n crowd of thirty men took him
from the Jail and hanged him in front of the
court house.
