I'rein the Yerk Age.
Piua B. Miller, who shot his sister-in-law
last July, has just been arrested.
When he left here he went te Philadelphia,
from there te New Yerk. At New Yerk
he took passage en a cattle beat for
England, where he remained for a time
and then returned home, arriving In
Spring Garden township yesterday. In
six hours lime after he arrived home, he
was arrested by Officer L. H. Grenawald
and cotnmitted te jail.

Tbe annual business meeting of the
Lancaster City Bible soelety will be held
in the lecture room of St. Paul's Reformed
church at 7:43 te-morrow evening. Elee

posed at the last annual meeting, are part

Te-morrow evening Cel. Charles J.
Arms will lecture at the oeurt house en
'The Bhetgun in Society." The receipts
of the lecture are for the benefit of the
soup fund, and the lecturer should be
greeted with a crowded heuse. Many
worthy parsons will be relieved by this
charity during the winter.
Charged With Aaultery.
Solemon W. Heisy, of Est Denegal,
was arrested last night en a warrant
issued by Alderman Fordney, charging
him with adultery. Ellen L. Enney ap
pears as the presecutrix. Heisy entered
ball for a hearing ea next Thursday.

Marshall, the aged colerod man, was eharg

goods, J. M. Ilershey was the prose
cuter and he testilled that his stere
w.ii robbed of goods valued at $200 en the
night of November M. Part of the goods
were found ou Marshall's premises. His
statement was that Aba Buzzard, Jehn
Llppiucett and another man uatne te his
house ene night aud wauted permission te
stay thore all night. He would net give
them permission, but when they talked
about shoetiug he allowed them te stay
in the stable all night. The stelen goods
found lu the stable were left by tbese men.
J oe Buzzard was charged with the name
etTenbes, and the testimony against him
was that he was wearing a pair of bus
ponders whleh were identified by Mr.
Ilershey as stolen from his store.

charged with the Bame offenses, aud the
same testimony was given against him.

Wm. Marshall was charged befere

Joe Buzzard was charged with carrying

ou the Welsh mountain, ou the " Whiskey
Path" a trunk containing a large quantity
of jewely aud ether articles. The jewelry
was brought te the office of Alderman
Ferdney this merniug and Daniel B.
Shifler, of Rewmansvill?, whose stere was
robbed about ten day age, appeared at the
alderman's oflice aud identified all tbe
iewely found as among that stelen from
his store. The jewelry identified consisted
or watch ehains, cull buttons, ebarms, car
riugs, linger rings and two wateh move
ments. The most valuable jewelry has
net yet been recovered.
