Crank Uorden Killed While Forcing

At the examination into the killing of
Frank Gorden, just after midnight Sunday
morning, in New Yerk, Officer Couuer
testified that he Eavt the flash and heard
the report of a pistol shot lu front of 311
Elizabeth stroet, and that, iu company
with two ether jioliccmen, he went thore

killed Gorden. The prisoner claimed that
he had committed the deed in self defense,
Ida Davis awote that ehe and Anna

at Elizabeth and Bleceker streets. While
there they were jeined by Jake Davis, a
man named McUuire, and another man,

"heitter" (that is, shoplifting or general
thief) just out of state prison for a
burglary, and McQuire acknowledged that

days' visit here as the guests of the Atlanta
