der oceurred Sunday night en n train en
the Padncab & Momphia railroad. Herraan
Marshall, of Dyersburg, Tonu., was en
the tralu drunk, going up and down the
aisle, knife in hand, threatening
everybody and using the most
disgusting language. Finally he In
suited a man named Boen Hulsfottles,
who struck him. Marshall thou out and
slashed Hulsfettlea' bead and sheulders in
a slckenlng manner. The vietim turned
and fled te the platform. Marshall fol
lowed, plunged the knife into Husfettlen'
stomaeh, and threw the bleeding man
from the train as it passed ever a bridge.
Tbe train baoked and pleked up the
wounded man barely alive. Marshall con cen
