WEDNESDAY EVENING, MUR, 12, tea 4.
MY LAUf LUVK.
When flying through the Mr the bat ts,
And brightly (.bines the droning star,
1 ulng beneath my lady's latttce,
And play upon tat "Sl't guitar.
Fer then alie at ber window sits,
Fanned by tue balmy wings of air,
Anrtntherstde hT favorite Spitz,
Ai whlte as snow his woolly lialr.
1M rather be that liappy Split;
Than any king upon tlie land,
Fpr en a cushion selt he sits,
Caressed and flattcred by her hand
And when her light cirassc fall,
ite leips Inte nor open arms,
And wags In Jey his woolly tall
As conscious et her perfect charm.
And knowing leve's ilcllglitlul whiles,
He rests his held upon htr brcatt.
Till, looking down, my lady nulles,
And en his head her lips are piessed.
And gazing upward through tlie gloom
I thine, wero 1 but half as bold,
I'd kick that puppy from tbe room
And in my arms tny lady told.
II iiem her lap I dreve the Spitz,
And made a happy change of places,
Would then my lady, whero she sits,
Kiss, and return my warm embrace
1 cannot tell, se my guitar
I strum, and sing beneath her lattice,
And wish tlie ugly pttz atar,
Upen yen root whero new the cat is.
