In this city notice was recently made of.
a robin that went te a heuBa te feed one of
its yeang that some boys bad carried off
and placed in a cage that was allowed te
hang out of doers. Themas Priuce, who
resides en Carsen river, above Daylou,
tells of a circum8tauce still mere singular.
He says a pair of robins had their nest en
a fence near his house, while in a bush
near by a pair of catbirds had built their
nest. The two pair of birds batched out
their young about the same time and all
went well for several days. Then the cat
birds were seen ue mere, probably having
been shot by some of the bee keepers of
Dayton.
The young catbirds were evidently
starring. When the robins came with a
worm or ether insect for their young,
they always alighted ou the top rail of the
fence before hopping down te their nest.
Each time when a robin se camu the cat
birds opened their mouths, thiust up their
heads and made a great outcry. They were
tagging te the best of their ability for
feed.
The robins appeared te understand the
appeal, aud began feeding the hungry
little catbirds. They did net de what they
had undertaken by halves. Each even
ing the female robin sat en her own nett
and warmed with her b jdy lier own young
while the male robin took te the nest of
the catbirds.
In this way both breeds were reared,
the little erpbaus growing up as strong
and lively as though they had been cared
for all through by their own parents. Beth
breeds are new able te fly, aud Ue young
robins and catbirds all still Heck together,
but presently the litter will probably
leave and take up with their own
kind.

On Tuesday neon the body of a man
dressed in a yachtmau'H shirt, with a life
preserver ou, was feuud ou the beach at
West Falmouth, Massachusetts, aud yes
terday morning a second bedv was found
near the same pluce. The bodies were
buried above high water mark se that
they cau be exhumed for identification il
necessary. A later dispatch nays both
bodies were dressed iu yachting shirts,
and en eue of them was a life pioservcr,
