Kelley'a Innocence.
Dublin, Jane 9. Timethy Kelley,
who was convicted of participation in
the Phcunix park murder, was banged
in Kilinaiuham jail at eight o'clock
this morning. He was the fifth
man executed for tbose murders and was
the last one convicted thereof. There
was a lare crowd of people outside the
prison, bat there was no disturbance. It
is believed that Kelly died without mak
ing any statement.

A large police and military force sur
rounded the prison, but the crowd was
very quiet. When the black flag was
heisted ever the prison, some persons in
tbe crowd uttered shrieks, and a young
women fell en her knees and called " the
curse of Ged ou James Carey, the inform

murder.
A Statement That Did Ne Geed.
Mr. Varian, a member of the Prisoners'
Aid society, called upon Earl Spencer, the
lord lieutenant, late last evening and gave
him his personal aspn.ran.ce that at eight

sent at a meeting of the society.
