A HOKSE CASE.
TI10 I.!tclia'cr llc!d ler Larceny.
Befoie Alderman DitrcndcrlTer this
afternoon was heard the complaint of
;cerge I). Render, of New Helland,
.iguiu.-d. "latthia; Rush, who is charged
with the larceny of three horses.
Tlsi facts appear te be that Rush
went te lieiuiet's, bought three horses
ene f'cr 00, one SI 13 and ene for $127.50.
He paid Render $10 cash en account and
told him te bring the horses te the Black
lleise hotel, this city, and he would pay
bun the b.iliitiee. The horses wcic
brought te town, and Bender was then
elleied payment, part in cash and part in
t into of Render's own promissory notes,
which had e me into Bush's hands. Ben
der refused te tveeive his own notes
and said he would have his horses :
lni wbiie the wrangle was going
en the horses had been removed. Bender
tbei sued out a v,i it of replevin for the
recovery of the hoi set, and subsequently
hi ought the suii for iarceny. Bush claims
te have been an agent acting for Henry
Ri:isi:g in the purchase of the horses.
Tin. ;ihU rniau held the accused te bail te
answer at court. Mr. Itausing became
their bail in the sum of $500.
