ertions. The woman's working society of St.
Jehn's Lutheran church did net held a
meeting last night. It will be held this
evening at Geei go Finney's residence en
Cherry sticet.
A deuble team ran off en the Celuinbja
and Marietta turnpike this morning. The
touitue of the wagon was bnapped off and
the contents of the vehielc strewn along
the pike. Ne person was hurt.
The place where Ciair & Fasig were cut
ting ice about a week age has again
frozen ever ; the ice is about seven inches
thick. The ice that is new being housed
is twelve inches thick.
Mr. David Laudis had right arm dislo
cated by a fall at Bachman's planing
mill, where he is employed, yesterday.
The efforts of the doctor and two assis
tants were required te place it in position.
While cutting weed yesterday, Mr.
Emauuel Gewen had ene of his shoulders
badly cut by the axe flying iiem the
handle against the ceiling of the cellar,
where he was at work, and then falling
upon him. The wound is a very painful
one.
A jealous wife get after her husband,
who was coasting en the Walnut street
hill, last evening, and furnished an amus
ing sceno te a large and highly delighted
