Fair at Chestnut Level.
The Presbyterian church at Chestnut
Level has lately been undergoing extensive
repairs. A Cue tower has been added te
it at considerable exppnse, which consider
ably improves its appearance. Te raise
funds te meet these additional expenses
the ladies of the congregation are making
arrangements te held a fair, which will be
held oil the 21st, 22d aud 2:iA of February.
The exhibit will be made ve:y attractive
aud many valuable and useful articles wil!

and consulted Dr. J. A. Keed, who
by a novel process, probably never

minutes without the use of the knife, and

Dining the year 1S82 the county com cem com
nrssieneis issued 1,093 orders, authoriz
ing expenditures amounting te $214,

cxtraeulinary expenses, leaving the

died suddenly shortly befere ttn o'clock

cils, accompanied by bis brother and one
of the select councilman. On tlw way

continued his journey until he reached
a tobacco store en Sixth street above
Chestnut, which he entered and sat en
a chair ; h's head dreppim? en his breast.
He was unable te npeak and eemed te be
unconscious. Messengers were sent for
physic ans, and in the raeantime Mr.
Baldwin was laid en his back en some
boxes. When a doctor arrived he pro pre pro
neuuued Mr. Baldwin dead. The cause of
his death is supposed te be heart dis
ease.

conscious te the last. The death agony
lasted two hours. Death was caused by
