" Wliat de you think, Myrtle ?"
" I hardly kiiew what te think, llegi

with the radiant Unlit of love as she turned
in response te Reginald Simpsen's ques

tender, calf-like leek of a first and only
love. " I only knew that, whatever my
lather may say. whatever lie may de, my
love for you will never falter or fail ; my
tuist in the nobility of your nature will be
as steadfast as the mighty rock of Gibral

in their mad, impotent fury."
When Myrtle get well under way she

At this moment the sound of footsteps

" I gnus-, you arc right, sis," replied

"S you were out te the track Sunday ?"

" Yf.s. sir.""
' Ah ! that was indeed wrong. But step

SATURDAY:
We de net often say anything
about bargains. Even if we are
selling an article under real
value we forbear calling it a
bargain if the same goods are
being" sold at or near our price
in ether places.
A bargain advertised by us
means something. Te illustrate:
This is what we regard and offer
as a bargain. A stock of fine
black ;lace, satin moire. Sicilian

We took the time te leek ever
the garments one by one, and
our bid was accepted for them at
an average of a little ever one
half the prices we should have
had te pay if bought direct by
our Paris house. The importer
had tee many and unleaded at a
less for cash down. This occurs
once in a while, but net often can
we de as well as in this instance.
These elegant jjoeds will be
opened this Saturday morning.
