Tasteful Ilecoratiens and Impressive Ser

en which was placed the CI rtetinu crown,
composed of golden flowers and sur

Handsome Burner Decoration.
The Easter services in the several
chuiches yesterday weie all largely attend
cd aud unusually interesting. Seme of
them weie beautifully decorated, the floral
ornamentation of St. Paul's Episcopal
being especially noticeable. At the end
and iu front of the middle aisle was the
font eiected by Mis. H. M. North in honor
of her deceased mother. It was elegant
and a column could be used in its descrip
tion. Lilies, rare plants, greens, ferns
and flowers of every color aud shape
intermingled iu a manner that was
dazzling. On top of the font was
an exquisitely designed anchor of
white flowers. Within the chancel
the decorations were elaborate aud hand
some. On the communieu table was a
large and beautiful cress, aud several
smaller yet very pretty stands of flowers.
Thi- cloth covering the table was bound
with evergreen and lle wers. The left window
inside the chancel ctmained a triangle,
denoting the Trinity, and iu the right
window an anchor denoting " Hepe."
Tin. sill of each window was bounded by
evergreens, intermixed with pretty colored
flowers. The altar was next inspected. In
fient of the Bible was a small but beauti
ful ci own, and en each side were hand
some bouquets of choice flowers. The
front and sides were trimmed with ever
gieei.n and flowers, arranged similarly te
tiio-.e that bounded the windows. The
reading desk was neatly and appro appre
piiately decorated, while between thisaud
'he pulpit was suspended a beautiful
basket of lle weis. The crowns, anchors,
etc., weie designed by Mr. Lightner, ably
assisted by the decorating committee. The
