I'm going te write you, dear Hurry,
A secret you never must tell ;
That beauty Miss Lily Maguire
Otcouweyeu remember lier well
lias numbered my licart with lier cenfjiiC9t3
My dcvoUens I've paid at lier shrine ;
I have thought I'd lecUuetter a husband.
And I've asked Mlus Lll te be mine.
Yeu remember the Jirsttlme that I wcnttheie;
Veu were one et us country bes's then ;
When Bud was the only name I had,
And you were called nothing but Hun :
And you were In love with her sister.
The dark eyed beautiful Ke3e,
A llewer transplanted In heaven.
Where never a cold wind blew-.
Twas a .sad, had grave that we made htr,
Down thcic where the violets wen; spicid,
Anil her face, us she lay in her cellin.
Made me think that an angel wus dead.
And lier grave, 1 wander there often.
1 think it a duty I ewe
I could see the spot new In the moonlight.
Hut it's covered ull ever with Knew.
And you went te the city seen alter,
Veu" couldn't live here without Uese,"
And down there in business and pleasure .
You've torget her almost, 1 suppose.
Well new, in this ad ictrespcctive,
I have strayed eiulte away irein my theme.
Hut I'll never lerget these old days, Hal,
Tlicy'ie te me like it liuaulitul dicam,

And like Ids, of encumbrances clear.

Tlieiigh 1 hope i ne'er please te be liii'iiu,
And when -bowing my power would eppn-s,

And I've ellcn tell se lonely heie.

And the only thing that would lill it I've

Slowly down by the liver's green sheie.
And the biirden.the waters would sing in.
