Seule, of this place, will preach in the Yerk Baptist church, to morrow. In the circuit court, Philadelphia, yes terday, Clias. R. McCenkey was appointed receiver of the Middle division of the P. I. narrow-gauge railroad from Yerk te Peach Bettem. Similar proceedings have a'se been instituted iu the same court against the Eastern division of the read, but no receiver has been appointed it. The revised edition of the New Testa ment made its appearance iu the book stores te-day for the iirst time. It is printed in several forms, the smallest of which is a paper-covered edition in non pareil type that sells at 15 cents per copy. In flexible muslin backs with red edges it sells at 20 cents. An edition in larger type fully bound iu cloth sells at 91,00 and a still larger one, in iu pica type at $2.50. There will, no doubt, be an active demand for the revised version and careful com parison made of it with the old version. Powers, with a number of ethers, appeared at the mine. A warrant was readfer the arrest of Kcegh and Maleney, which they refused te hear. Beth being well armed, firing seen began, resulting in the wounding of Maleney in the right hand and of Keogh in the arm. The Powers party then took possession of the property, which they held until 9 a. m., whena large number of well-armed citizens compelled them te vacate and arrested eleven of their party under united States warrants en the charge of assault with intent te kill. They were placed under $1;000 bends te await exam ination te-day. Kcegh'and Maleney have been released. A later special despatch says : The trial f if the Powers party has been postponed te Monday. The deputy sheriff telegraphed te Gunnison City that the mob was in creasing and asked for aid, net consider ing himself safe at Irwin. Irwin is situ ated en theUte reservation, ever which the United States courts alene have jurisdic tion, and the deputy sheriffs were acting outside of their territory, and heuce the arrest of the sheriffs deputies.
