An Intereitltig DecUlen.
The supreme court has recently rendered
a decision in an appeal from Montgomery
county, of peculiar interest. William M.
Baiubridrre, a resident e Norristown,
made a will in June, 1809, in which lie
disposed of all his property te the amount
of about four hundred dollars. He directed
that it should be invested and the income
paid te his mother during her life. At her
death, he directed that after all expenses
were paid and legacies of twenty- ii ve dellai s
te two nephews and one huudicd dollars
each te the Norristown encampment Ne.
37, I. O. O. F., and te Curtis ledge Ne.
239, 1. O. O. F., all the rest of his cstate
should be used by the executer, Mr. Gee.
W. Calhoun, in the erection of a monu
ment ever his grave at the death of his
mother. The surviving brothers and
sisters contested his right te use
all the funds but contended that
a clause in the will, reading
".such a monument as the amount of
funds in his hands will warrant,'" required
him te erect one in propeitiou te the
amount of the cstate and that he .should
net use all the rest, residue and remain
der, as the testator at first directed.
Judge Ress in a lengthy opinion decided,
however", that the whole amount should be
used in the erection of a monument. The
case was taken te the supreme court with
Thee. W. Bean, esq., for the executer,
and Geerge W. Rogers, esq., for the heirs,
and the decision of the lower court was
sustained. Justice Mcreur delivering the
opinion, (J. J. Sharswood dissenting. The
monument, which will be of white mar
ble, sixteen feet high, will shortly be
erected ever his grave in the Montgomery
cemetery, where he was buried in 1872.
This is thought te be the first instance of
the contest of a will upon such reasons as
fermed the grouudwerk of this case.

high county, was recently sent te the leg
cabin of Gerrell, the fox and wild cat
hunter, at the base of the Blue mountains
in Albany township, Bcrks-county.te give
him medical treatment. When the doctor
arrived he found the deer locked and the
old man se stiff with rheumatism
that he could net arise from bed
and unlock the deer. He told the
physician te procure a wire and bend it
into the shape of a hook and stick
it through a small hole in the deer, se as
te reach the belt and sheve it back. In
this way he opened the deer. Jehn Hen
ry, one of the hunter's nearest neighbors,
offered te take him te his residence and
take geed care of him uutil the recovery
of his health, but he declined the invita
tion. Mr. Henry then employed a person
te scrub the fleer of the leg cabin, white

Complicated Diseases.
A prominent gentleman in Ccrre Gorde co.,
Iowa, writes us that he finds Kidney-Wert te
he the best remedy he ever knew for a compli

which it has en the liver, kidneys and bowels,
which gives it such curative power, and it is
the thousands el cures which it Is performing
which gives it its great celebrity. Liquid (very

Brandy as a Medicine
The following article was voluntarily sent te
Mr. II. E. Slayiiiaker, Agent for Reigart's Old
Wine Stere, by a prominent practising physi
cian et tins county, who lias extensively used
the Brandy referred te in his regular practice.
It is commended te the attention of these af
flicted with
Indigestion and Dyspepsia.
BRANDY AS A MEDICINE.
This new much abused Alcoholic .Stimulant
was never intended as a beverage, but te be
used as a medicine of great potency in the cure
or some of the destructive diseases wldcli
sweep away their annual thousands of victims.
With si purely philanthropic motive we pre
sent te the favorable notice et invalids espe
cially these a 111 ic ted with that miserable dis
ease Dyspepsia, a specific remedy, which i3
nothing mere or less than
Brandy.
The aged, with lecblc appetite and mere or
less debility, will find this simple medicine,
when used properly,
A Sovereign Remedy
or all their ills anil aches. Be it, however
strictly understood that we prescribe and use
but one article, and that is
REIGART'S OLD BRANDY,
Sold by our enterprising young friend, 11 Ii
SLAYMAKER. This Brandy haj steed the
test for years, and has never failed, as far
as our experience extends, and we therefore
giv it the preference ever all ether Brandies
unsuUterwith hew many jaw-breaking French
titles they arc branded. One-fourth of the
money that is yearly thrown away en various
impotent dyspepsia specifics would suffice te
buy all the Brandy te euro anvsuch case or
Jascs. In proof of the curative powers of
Rsigart's Old Brandy,
In cases of Dyspepsia, we can summon num
hers of witnesses one case in particular we
cite:
A hard-working farmer hail been affiicted
with an exhaustive Dyspepsia ler a number of
years; his stomach would reject almost every
kind of feed; he had sour eructatiens con
stantly ue appetite in fact, he was obliged te
restrict his diet te crackers and stale bread,
ami as a beverage he used McGrann's Reet
Beer. He is a Methodist, and then, as new,
preached at times, aud in his discourses often
declaimed earnestly againstall kindsef strong
driii k. When advised te try
Reigart's Old Brandy,
In his case, he looked up with astenismnent,
but after hearing et its wonderful effects in
the cases of some of his near acquaintances, he
at last consented te fellow our advice. He
,i,i,1?iIlI?".,,yfa.,tUfuUy ana steadily; the
first bottle giving him an appetite, and before
the second was taken he was a Round mamwith
a stomach capable of digesting anything which
he;chose te eaU lie still keens it and usalit
tie occasionally; and since he has this medi
cine he has been of very little pecuniary bene
fit te the doctor. A PitACTisute Physician.
