Leavitt's Eng lish burlesque fijiera company was greeted by :i iarge audience sit Fulton opera house last night. The performance was, en the whole, si disappointing one. i-larting out with a radical change of prngtaninic, in consequence of which si number of the most prominently advertised features were initted, " Orpheus " was substituted for the extensively billed "Carmen," the piece being a nondescript composition, abound ing in scantily clad-goddesses,and ether in habitants of the celestial ami infernal re gions of vaiied styles and stations, whose conceptions of morality were apparently net of the highest elder. Theinusic, however, especially the chorus effects, constituted the feature of the performance entitled te all praise, many of the selections from reigning operatic attractions being hap pily made and admirably rendered. Of the individual members of tlie troupe, which in number is nearer twenty than the forty sidvcrtiscd, 3Iiss 3Iaric Williams proved herself si clever soubrette artist, acted and sang capitally. 3Iiss 2ellie Larkcllc, whose lithographs have profusely adorned the stoic windows for several days past, was conspicuous by her absence.
