LANCASTER DAILY IJfTELLIGENOER. SATURDAY, JANUARY 29, 1881. MAKKILD AT LAST. When Tlieir Hair Was Silvered. Tlie Wilmington JVetr uetcs tbc recent mariiaj'c in that city, at the house of a relative, of William Ferersen, of Barc ville, Lancaster county, te 3Irs. Margaret B. Wilsen, formerly of Penn township, Chester counts'. What makes this cere mony unusually interesting isthe fact that the groom was an old man of nearly eighty years, aud the bride, about seventy. Somewhere among the hills of Pennsylva nia, in younger days, they had met, and as common report says, became engaged. A cloud, however, came ever the spirit of their dream and they paited in anger. He seen after married, accumulated wealth and became the father or a family. Time lcd en, and among these who had fallen by the wayside was the wife. He also felt the weight of years. His limbs began .te weaken, his sight bedimmed and his hair silveied with gray. As young in spirit as of yore he minded net these. By some means r ether he kept himself informed of the whereabouts of the inamorata of his youth, and from thinking of her as the companion of day gene by, he became anx ious te pledge anew the troth broken se long age. He accordingly came from his home in Lanncaster county, accompanied by his son. A meeting of the two was arranged aud the scperatieu of a half a century was spanned very happily. The marriage was a quiet affair. Beth parties aic well fixed financially, and the prospects of a happy termination te the necessarily shmt .pacc of time they have te live are mauy. hfcVKNI i:n VKAR HjCUSTS. Will Vlhlt Lancaster County In June. Prof. Itiley, the entomologist, says the seventeen ear locusts will abound next June in Marquette and Green Lake counties Wisconsin, in the neighborhood of Wheel ing, West Virginia, and probably in Mary land, Viiginia and District of Columbia. They may nlse appear, he says, in the west part of North Carolina, in neithcastern Ohie, Lancasterceunty,Pa., andWest Ches ter county, X. Y. There are two breeds of these periodical locusts, one appearing once in seventeen years, and the ether once in thit teen. Beth breeds will appear this year, but net in the same localities. The professor says that the thirteen-year breed will probably be seen in Southern Illinois, in all of Missouri except the northwest corner, in Louisiana, Arkansas, Indian territory, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama. Georgia, North Carolina and Seuth Carolina. The two kinds of locusts differ very little in ap jtcarauce.
