Moere, a farmer and butcher, in attempting te drive across the track of the Wilmington & Northern railroad near Moitenville, was run down by a train, but escaped serious injury in a siugular man ner. Twe horses were attached te the dearbern in which he and his son, a lad of twelve years, were riding. The locemotivo struck the wagon where the read runs between two stene walls, but wagon and horses wcre lifted from the track and car ried a considerable distance. The horses finally dropped into a field by the side of the read, but the wagon remained jammed en the cow catcher until the train was stepped. Mr. Moero and hiB son were held fast by the wagon, and although the former was insensible when taken off, neither he nor his son was seriously in jured. The horses also escaped with a few slight cuts and bruises. The point of the cow-catcher struck between the front wheels of the wagon and the horses aud in a few seconds broke the tongue aud set the animals free. IlETHAXr, ONTAltlO. Gkxtlkmen. Slayiuakcr, Agent for Reigart's Old Wine Stere, by a prominent practising physi cian et this county, who lias extensively used the Brandy referred te in his regular practice. It is commended te the attention of these af flicted with Indigestion and Dyspepsia. BRANDY AS A MEDICINE. This new much abused Alcoholic Stimulant was never intended as a beverage, but te be used as a medicine of great potency in the cure of some of the destructive diseases which sweep away their annual thousands of victims. With a purely phUanthreplc motive we pre sent te the favorable notice of invalids espe cially these afflicted with that miserable dis ease Dyspepsia, a specific remedy, which is nothing mere or less than Brandy. The aged, with feeble appetite and mere or less debility, wiU find this simple medicine, when used properly, A Sovereign Remedy or all their ills and aches. Be it, however strictly understood tliat we prescribe and use but one article, aud that is REIGART'S OLD BRANDY, Snl.l lv our cntcrnnslns venne friend. U E SLAYMAKEK. This Brandy has steed the test for years, and lias never failed, as far as our experience cxicnus, anu we merciurc give it the preference ever all ethdr Brandies, no matter with hew many jaw-breaking French titles they arc branded. One-fourth of the money that is yearly thrown away en various itnnntantdvsncnsla sneclflcs would suffice te buy all the Brandy te cure any such case or cases. In proei ei uie curauve powers ei Reigart's Old Brandy, in cases et Dyspepsia, we can summon mini Iters of witnesses one case in particular we cite: A hard-working farmer had been afflicted with an exhaustive Dyspepsia ter a number of years; his stomach would reject almost every kind of feed; he had sear eructatiens con cen con stantlyeo appetite In fact, he was obliged te restrict his diet te crackers and stale bread, and as a beverage he used McGrann's Heet Beer. He is a Methodist, and then, as new, preached at times, and in his discourses often declaimed earnestly against all kinds of strong drink. When advised te try Reigart's Old Brandy, In ids case, he looked up with astonishment, but after hearing et its wonderful effect!) in the cases of some of his near acquaintances, he at last consented te fellow our advice. He used the Brandy faithfully and steadily; the first bottle giving him an appetite, and before the second was taken he was a sound man, with a stomach capable of digesting anything which bejehese te cat. . He still keeps it and uses a lit tle occasionally; and since he has tills medi cine be has been of very little pecuniary bene fit te the doctor. A Pkacxisinq Phtbician. H. E.
