WAITIKO.
Thrice has abc seen the blossoms fall,
And thrice the birds hare southward
flown;
And thrlce in woodland, aisle and hall
The withered leaves and snows have blown ;
Since 'neath the fretted skies of blue
They told their lore and plighted true.
She sings his parting words of lore
Out te the hush of winter skies,
And te the gleaming depths above
She lifts In faith her trusting eyes.
And with the balm and rose of June
She sings the same, her changeless tune.
Though lurid tun the lines of light,
And distant seas stretch vast and dim.
Though darker drive the winds of night,
She ne'er shall doubt, but wait for him.
Fer Ged hath said some golden morn
llcr love shall te uer arms be borne.

A Boek for Farmers.
" Legal Rights and Duties or Farmers."
We have been favored by the publishers
with a copy of a new book of 150 pages
entitled "Legal Rights and Duties of
Farmers." It is written and compiled by
Gee. W. Heed, esq., an able member of
the Indiana County Bar and Pennsylvania
State Beard of Agriculture, and is printed
and published by the Inquirer printing
and publishing company, this city.
The book contains information of
the utmost interest te farmers,
and its careful perusal and a familiar ac
quaintance with its contents cannot fail te
save farmers from many petty annoyances
and perhaps many expensive law suits.
The general scope of the work may be seen
from a recital of the table of contents, as
fellows : Hew te buy a farm ; what a deed
Sacludes; ways ever the farm; water
rights ; farm fences : line and overhanging
trees ; law of cstrays ; tresspassing upon
the farm ; farmer's liability for his ani
mals ; sale of stock with warrants ; fires ;
rights in the read ; landlord and tenant ;
nuisance ; table of cases ; forms (for agree
ments, leases, mortgages, judgments, no
tices te quit, &c.. &c), and the full
text of the game laws as amended
by act of assembly of June 2, 1878. A
knewledges of the law as contained in any
one of the above subjects will much mere
than repay the farmer for the cost of the
book ; and if it docs net succeed in making
every farmer his own lawyer it will at
least enable him te avoid many vexatious
law suits. The work is highly, commended
by many of the most eminent agriculturists
of the state. Price $1.00 in cloth, 91.50 in
half-law. Fer sale by all book-sellers.

Brandy as a Medicine.
The following article was voluntarily sent te
Mr. H. E. Slaymakcr, Agent for Itcigurt's Old
Wine Stere, by a prominent practising physi
cian et this county, who lias extensively used
the Brandy referred te in his regular practice.
It Is cemmeuded te the attention of these af
flicted with
Indigestion and Dyspepsia.
BRANDY AS A MEDICINE.
This new much abused Alcoholic Stimulant
was never Intended as a beverage, but te be
used as a medicine of great potency in the cure
of some of the destructive diseases which
sweep away their annual thousands of victims.
With a mirely philanthropic motive we nrc-
sent te the favorable notice et iimil Ids espe
cially these afflicted with that miserable dis
ease Dyspepsia, a specific remedy, which is
nothing mere or less than
Brandy.
The aged, with feeble appetite and mere or
less debility, will find this simple medicine,
wnen nsca property,
A Sovereign Remedy
or all their Ills and aches. Be it, hewevei
strictly understood that we prescribe ami um
but one article, and that Is
REIGARTS OLD BRANDY,
Sold by our enterprising young friend, 11 E
SLAYMAKER. This Brandy has steed the
test for years, and has never fulled, as lar
as our experience extends, and we therefore
give it the preference ever all ether Brandies,
no matter with hew inanyjaw-brcaking French
titles they arc branded. One-fourth of the
money that Is yearly thrown away en various
Impotent dyspepsia specifics would sufllce te
buy all the Brandy te cure any such cese or
cases. In proof of the curative powers et
Beigart's Old Brandy,
In cases of Dyspepsia, we can summon mini
bers of witnesses one case in particular we
cite:
A hard-working farmer had been a filleted
with an exhaustive Dyspepsia ler a number of
years; his stomach would reject almost every
klnd of feed; he had sour eructatiens con
stantly ue appetite in fact, he was obliged te
restrict his diet te crackers and stale bread,
and as a beverage he used McU rami's Jtoet
Beer. He Is a Methodist, and then, as new,
S reached at times, and in his discourses often
eclaimed earnestly agalnstall kinds of strong
drink. When advised te try
Relgart's Old Brandy,
In his case, he looked up with astonishment,
but after hearing of Its wonderful effects in
the cases of some of his near acquaintances, he
at last consented te fellow our advice, lie
used the Brandy faithfully and steadily; the
first bottle giving him an appetite, and before
the second was taken he was a sound man.with
a stomach capable of digesting any thl ng which
he chose te cat. He still keeps it und uses a lit
tle occasionally; and since lie has this medi
cine he has been of very little pecuniary bene
fit te the doctor. A Practisine Physician.
