Lancaster intelligencer.
TUESDAT BVENINO, AUQU8T 3, 1880.
IN CLOVER.
Levely, sunny, simmer day.
In a hammock swinging,
Sea-waves brightly flashing near,
Happy birds a-elnglng.
Hum ei pipe and hum of bee,
Whir or insects blending
In a dreamy symphony,
Kings of smoke ascending
On the air te break and fade.
Green boughs arching ever.
Fragrance born en every breeze -
Isn't he in clever?
Flower-dotted grass beneath,
Blue sky o'er him feiniling.
Pretty girl en either side
Pleasantly beguiling
One with fan and shade whose tint.
With the wings urc vying
Of the gorgeous butterflies
Gayly round them flying.
One with book from which she reads
Seng of maid and lever
In a voice of melody
Isn't he in clever?
