The Declinations of Seymour and Tllden nayaru's strength, anil the Opposition of the Tllden People The PeunnjI PeunnjI taniansXet United A Dark Herse the Probable Win ner of the Race. Editorial Dispatch te the Ixtellige.clr. Cincinnati, June 21. The Pennsylva nia delejnitien erjranized easily bv the unanimous election of Maleehi Hay, of Pittsburgh, chairman. 3Iessrs. Black, Scott, Cowan, Stengcr and Land is were named as a committee te select subordi nate officers. Tlie delegation will meet again at 5 o'clock this afternoon. The crowd here is immense, and the weather almost suffocating. Thousands of strangers are pouring into the city hourly, and giving additional animation te the scene. The Tilden letter of with drawal and Seymour's repeated per emptery declination eliminate them from the contest, while Judge Field's strength does net seem te have the necessary " bot tom " te last, and is probably super ficial. Bayard boomed along in a prom prem ising fashion yesterday, and August Bel mont, the rich Xew Yerk banker, and Gov. Wade Hampton, of Seuth Carolina, are according powerful aid, but the strong opposition te him manifested by the Til den people will be apt te prevent his nom ination as well as that of any Xew Yerk man, while Hendrick'schauccsarccripplcd by the same influence. If a union of the Pennsylvania delega tion could be effected en Bayard, Randal1 or Hancock a contingency that does net new seem at all piebable one of them could be nominated. If Randall's friends shall be se indiscreet as te make him a leading candidate at the outset, thereby antagonizing ethers, he will be effectually killed ; his only chance is as a dark her.se and he must be kept blanketed. The dissensions in Ohie's delegation and a disinclination te make that state the pre liminary battle ground in October will be enough te beat Payne, and you need net be surprised te .see such a name as McDon ald, of Indiana sprung en the convention and bear oil' the nomination, although everj thing new is purely cenjectinal and the situation, even with Tilden and Sey mour out of the way, has net crystallized sufficiently te render possible anything like an accurate forecast. W. U. II. TILDEN S DECLINATION. The New Yerk Delegates Impressing Their Sense of Regret. By Associated Press. CixciNxm, June 21. The Xew Yeik delegation has just passed the following resolution in reference te Mr. Tildcn's letter of declination. Jieselced, That with a .sense of piofeund gratitude for his gieat services te the country and the Democratic paity, and unqualified ad mini tien for his character and abilities, this delegation has leceivcd with deep icgiet the impressive deuliuatien by Governer Tilden te be a candidate for rcnominatien for piesidcnt of the United States. A copy of the lesolutien was sent te the headquartcis of the Kentucky delegation. i!,jard Gaining Ground. The hotels and streets aie well idled with stiangeis and evidence of keen inter est is seen en every hand. The sentiment of delegates as they ariive seems te pre ponderate iu favor of IJayaul, but with no certainty of his nomination. Ilendiick's fiieuds rather despair ever his piespects. Hancock's friends, who are many, appear te be reserving themselves until their oppeitunity develops. Jevvett has quite a fellow ing which is active and well organized. Field's delegates are working hard and methodically. Randelph and Gieesbeck each has many earnest suppoit suppeit crs. On the whole the general situation is se mixed that nothing could be mere hazaideus than any prediction as te Hie final result. BY WIRE. Afternoon Telegrams Cendei.sed.
