EXECUTION OF RARER's MURDERERS. Lebanon's Triple Hanging Te-day Wise Brandt and Hummel Swung Inte .Eternity Impressive Scenes Prier te the Execu tion. Lebanon, Pa., May 13. Very few peo ple were admitted te the jail yard this morning te witness the execution of Brandt, Hummel and Wise. The entire morning was taken up with religious services. Rev. Gee. Trabert, assisted by the Rev. F. J. F. Schantz, of Myerstown, attended upon Brandt and ITummel, while the Revs. Israel Hay and Ezekiel Light gave spiritual consolation te "Wise. At 10:15 "Wise gave notice te the deputy sheriff that he was in readiness te proceed te the gallows. The solemnity of the scene was intense. Wise left his cell first, preceded by Revs, nay and Light, and as cended the scaffold with a firm step and a smile upon his countenance. He was al lowed te make the following statement : "What I have te say is that all of us are guilty, as I testified in court, and confessed all about it, and hew Hummel get in. That is all I have te say." Rev. Mr. Hay, accompanied Wise te the scaffold and prayed and sung the fami liar hymn in German. " There is a foun tain filled with bleed." At the conclusion of the hymn Brandt and Hummel were brought out, accom panied by the deputy sheriff and clergy men. The men were all clad in dark suits, with a boutonniere, made of smilax and lilies of the valley, which had been presented early in the morning by their friends. The men were swung off upon the same gallows upon which Drews and Stichler met their deaths. An impressive scene took place upon the gallows previous te the execution. Deputy Sheriff Deininger, the clergymen, Sheriff Crall and assistants went upon the scaffold and shook hands with the culprits. Each ene of them thanked Sheriff Crall for his kindness and attention during their incar ceration of two years, and expressed a de sire te meet him in the world te come. At WLse's special request he was allow ed te visit the cells of all the ether prisoners in the jail, and while balding them good bye, impressed upon them the necessity of leading honest and virtuous lives. At 11:15 a. m. Sheriff Crall stepped upon the platform and adjusted the ropes around the necks of the three men ; at the same time his deputies bound them hand feet and placed ever their heads the white muslin cap. Beth Brandt and Hummel were asked if they had anything te say and they replied in the negative. AH three men knelt upon the platform of the trap and engaged in prayer, while the Rev. Mr. Schantz read appropriate passages from the scriptures. All persons having withdrawn from the scaffold, Sheriff Call sprung the trap at ex actly 11:18. All three of the men swung in the air without a contortion or even the movement of a muscle. A slight trem or was observable in Hummel's knees, but beyond that nothing indicated but that death was sudden and easy. At 11 :S0 Dr. Lincwcavcr examined the bodies and de clared them dead. BY WIRE. E. Slaymaker, Agent for ReigartV Old Wine Stere, by a prominent practising physi cian et this county, who has extensively used the Brandy referred te in his regular practice. It is commended te the attention of these af flicted with Indigestion and Dyspepsia. BRANDY AS A MEDICINE. This new much abused Alcoholic .Stimulant was never Intended as a beverage, but te lie used as a medicine of great potency in the cure of some of the destructive diseases which sweep away their annual thousands of victims. Witli a purely philanthropic motive we pre sent te the favorable notice et Invalid spe cially these alllieted with that miserable dis ease Dyspepsia, a specific remedy, which Is nothing mere or less than Brandy. The aged, with feeble appetite and mere or less debility, will find this simple tnt-dicine, when used properly, A Sovereign Remedy or all their ills and aches. Be it, however strictly understood that wc prescribe anil use but one article, and that is REIGARTS OLD BRANDT, Sold by our enterprising young Mend, II. K SLAYMAKER. This Brandy has steed the test for years, and has never failed, us fur as our experience extends, and we therefore give it the preference overall ether .Brandies, no matter with hew many jaw-breaking French titles they are branded. One-fourth of the money that is yearly thrown away en various impotent dyspepsia specifics would sulllcu te buy all the Brandy te cure any such cue or cases. In proof of the curative powers et Reigart'a Old Brandy, In cases of Dyspepsia, we can summon nuiu bers of witnesses one case in particular we cite: A hard-working fanner had been aililcted with an exhaustive Dyspepsia ter a number of years; his stomach would reject almost every kind of feed; he had sour eructatiens con stantly ue appetite In fact, he was obliged te restrict his diet te crackers and stale bread, and as a beverage he used McGrann's Reet Beer. He Is a Methodist, and then, as new, S reached at times, and in his discourses often eclaimed earnestly against all kinds of strong drink. When advised te try Reigart's Old Brandy, In his case, he looked up with astonishment, but after hearing of Its wonderful ettects In the cases of some of his near acquaintances-, he at lest consented te fellow our advice. He used the Brandy faithfully and steadily; the first bottle giving him an appetite, and before the second was tuken he was a sound man.with a stomach capable of digesting anything which he chose te eat. He still keeps it and uses a lit tle occasionally; and since lie lias this medi cine he has been of very little pecuniary bene fit te the doctor. A Practising Physician. H. . This is my advice, after acting the physician for 31 years.
