Cove Bennett, who, with Jennie Smith,
made a narrow escape from being banged
for the murder of the latter's husband,

Nellie Larkcllc, who played here with
Stetson's "Evangeline" last season, is a
member of Kiralfy's " Black Creek" com
pany, new at Xible's Garden, New Yerk.
S. M. llickcy and Jee Brooks, who were
managing Emersen's minstrels for a while,
have retired from the management of that
company en account of bad business.
Sel. Smith Kussell is with tbc Bcrgcrs
again, but only for the remainder of the
season. Next fall be starts out with a
play of his own, under the management of
Fied V. Bcrger.
Nick Roberts has engaged a troupe of
students in Germany te come te tbis coun ceun
tiy and give musical performances in con
nection with his "Ilumpty Dumpty"
combination.
Letta did the largest business week be
fore last at the Bosten theatre, thaj, she
ever did in Bosten. The receipts for the
engagement will probably aggregate $lo, $le,
000. It is said that Mr. Sullivan intends te
change his residence from Londen te New
Yerk, and with Mr. Gilbert, he is already
engaged upon another attraction ler next
.season.
Themas Daily, of this city, who traveled
with Van Aniburgb's circus last season
and who has been living in St. Leuis this
winter, will go out with the same show
this spring.
The Kernell and "Watsen combination
disbanded in Cincinnati ; Charley Banks's
'Trip Around the World " stepped sud
denly at Celumbus: and reports from Des
Moines state that Wallack's combination
and Burten Stanley's "Pinafore" have
succumbed te the Lenten term, and that
their remains have found a peaceful rest in
lhe interior of Iowa.
