Pennsylvania of the '78 crop con tinues te attract buyers' attention, the aggregate sales of that stock numbering ever 700 cases. Nevertheless, prices de net improve materially. Helders of the '79 crop feel that the season is approach ing -when speculation will begin, and therefore are selling their '78 at prices which, if they leave no profit, at least oc casion no less. Tobacco buying in Penn sylvania has again become a little lively, though the prices that are paid range from about 10 te 15 cents for wrappers, 4 te 6 cents for seconds and 2 te 3 cents for fillers. Here and there higher figures are being paid. 2scw buyers who have in vaded the tobacco districts of Pennsylvania claim that the crop still unsold numbers about 25,000 cases, and that te a great ex tent it is as fine as that which was bought early in the season in a wild manner at high figures.
