GENERAL DISTRIBUTION OF TAFFY.
The ExliaustleM Stock of a Candidate for
Congress.
Lancaster Inquirer.
Taffy for Jehn K. Wiley.
Mr. Wiley is a gentleman, and is per
sonally one of the most popular men in tlie
county.
Taffy for Tem Funds.
There is net the slightest doubt that the
almost unanimous sentiment of the Repub
licans of Lancaster county is in favor of
the nomination of J. A. M. Passmerc for
-Auditor general.
Taffy for Ten Cochran.
3Ir. Cochran, delegate from this city, is
an out and out advocate for Lemen, and
has made no concealment of it either be
fore or since his election. lie made no at
tempt te deceive any one ; but it is only
fair te all parties te say that in voting
ajjainst Passmerc he will misrepresent the
Republican sentiment of his district.
Taffy for Johiihen, Kshieman an McMcllen.
Mr. Jehnsen said he had some resolu
tions te eirer, but the chair refused te hear
him and recognized McMcllen.
Taffy for Hay Brown.
We submit that it is peer policy and
worse taste te designate any one as "a
little carpet-bagger," because he was born
or once resided in a neighboring county.
Taffy for Wickersham.
Cel. Wickci-hliam, of this city, was a
candidate for governor. All the leading
Republicans of the county professed te be
in favor of his nomination.
Taffy for the Ills District.
In the election of delegates by county
committee, as at present constituted,
forty-nine Republican votes have precisely
the same weight as one thousand and xixty
ninc votes.
Taffy for nialnc.
Blaine in the undoubted choice of an
overwhelming majority of the Republi
can voters of Lancaster county a fact
that is undeniable and undenied.
Tally for the Popular Pretest.
The editor of the Examiner and the writer
of this article steed together in sustaining
the action of the committee en that occa
sion, and neither will readily forget the
force and strength of the popular pretest
which finally drove them and the party
with which they acted into withdrawing
the action of the committee.
The Hohrertewn Riet Cases.
This afternoon was the time set for the
hearing of the cases growing out of the
trouble at the Rohrerstown rolling mill
last Monday.
Win. A. Jenes, one of the men charged
with felonious assault and battery en Pat
rick O'Donnell, who new lies in a preca
rious condition at the eeunty hospital,
waived a hearing and entered bail te an
swer at veuit. Jacob Wenner, who is also
charged with having assaulted him has net
yet been arrested.
L. IJ. Morgan, superintendent of the
shops, who is complainant against Jenes,
was also held te bail te answer at court a
complaint made by Jenes, who charges
him with carrying concealed deadly weap
ons with felonious intent. Mr. Morgan
also waived a hearing. lie claims that he
drew a billy te prevent Jenes and Wenner
from killing O'Donnell.
Hail Reduced.
MeChine and Shcnk, committed for lar
cenies in Martic township, had a hearing
en a habeas cerpit be 'ere Judge Pattcrcea
this afternoon. The judge held that the
evidence produced before the alderman was
net Millicient for a jury te convict en but
was enough te eeiunit. The bail, how
ever, was reduced in each ease from $300 te
Arm Broken.
Mrs. Levi Resenstein, residing at Ne,
V-i. Middle street, slipped and fell in the
yaid of her house yesterday afternoon,
breaking one her arms.

distinguished anti-spiritualist, gives one of his
light seances, assisted by Miss Seleme Craw

usually given by spirit mediums, and will ex
pose and explain the same in the bread light.
The Detroit Free Press says : " Pret. Coeke is
delighting large audiences at the Grand opera
house this week, with tlie most wonderful and
startling exhibition ever seen in this city. Ne
one should fail te attend. Taken as a whole
the entertaiumentsare far superior te anything
ever produced here before, and contain noth

clairvoyance of Miss Crawford is simply mar-vcleu-i.and
should be witnessed by all te be ap
