Ton COURT : An adjourned Court of Quar•
ter Sessions is being held in this city, this
week, Judge Long presiding. The trial of the
Copperhead rowdies, who held high riot under
the nose of the Mayor and his beautiftd body
of police on the 29th of September last, the
day of the Republican Idate Meeting, was
called on Tuesday. The evidence was very
strong and decided, but there was some tall
swearing done by some of the police, and if
they are to be believed, the notorious rowdies
on trial were the most peaceable men alive on
the day if the riotous proceedings.
The case iyas given to the jury on Wednes
day afternoon at 5 o'clock, no verdict was
rendered at neon yesterday. We suppose the
copperhead plan is to "hang" the jury, or in
other words, they can't agree.

It is the most useful oombivation of ingre
dients ever known for Fruit, and the evidence
we can produce from men of the highest stand
ing in society of the benefits to bederived from
its use in Fruit Trees, Vines, Wheat, Corn, Flow
ers, and all kinds of Vegetation, cannot be
doubted by any honest man. When applied to
trees, it p metrates every pore, destroying the
worm in the heat t of the tree, and by connect
ing with the mineral substance of the earth,
destroys the cause and prevents the creation of
any destructive insects. It will prevent enroll
lie from slinging the plum, and every person
using it will have sound plums. It will kill the
peach grub, and make peach trees bear healthy
fruit. It will prevent dry-rot in grapes. It
swells the tree. causing the old bark to peel off
from the body, while a beautiful new green
bark takes its place. It will kill potato bugs
and prevents potato tot. It will prevent weave),
mill-dew, or rust in wheat, and prevent the fly
from touching . it. It destroys the cut-worm in
cont—in tact, it will kill any kind or insects that
attack Fruit Trees andcause all Fruit Trees to
bear sound fruit. It is now extensively used in
the Western states, anti those who have used it
would not Ise without it, for a thousand times
its cost. It has been used to the southern parts
of Berks County. this State, on grain. trees, ate.,
and there has not been a single failure. Any
