Ton COURT : An adjourned Court of Quar• ter Sessions is being held in this city, this week, Judge Long presiding. The trial of the Copperhead rowdies, who held high riot under the nose of the Mayor and his beautiftd body of police on the 29th of September last, the day of the Republican Idate Meeting, was called on Tuesday. The evidence was very strong and decided, but there was some tall swearing done by some of the police, and if they are to be believed, the notorious rowdies on trial were the most peaceable men alive on the day if the riotous proceedings. The case iyas given to the jury on Wednes day afternoon at 5 o'clock, no verdict was rendered at neon yesterday.
