THE GREAT NATIONAL CAMP MEET
ING.—The great National (Methodist)
Camp Meeting, at Manheim, will com
mence on Tuesday, July 14th, and close
4n Friday, July 241,11. The camp ground
is about ten minutes' walk from the
town. and is abundantly provided with
excellent water, and perfect arrange
ments have already been made for the
accommodation of persons from a dis
tance. One full railroad fare will secure
a return ticket from almost any point.
The price of board will be, for the full
time, only 67.00—51.00 per day, and 50
cents for a single meal. Nearly all the
farmers in the neighborhood have agreed
to accommodate as many as possible,
upon the most reasonable terms. The
railroad accommodations (Reading and
Columbia Road) will be ample for any
number of people. It will doubtless be
the greatest camp meeting ever held in
this county. No better, or, in every re-
Esect, more suitable place than the rural
village of Manhoim, in the great county
of Lancaster, could have been selected
for this purpose.
FALLEN BRAVES.—The decoration of
the graves of the deceased heroes in our
midst on Saturday the 30th ult., was a
very impressive ceremony. Quite a large
number of the members of the G. A. R.
and several lodges and tire companies
turned out to do honor to the departed.
A certain individual who is a disgrace to
this community, with brazen impudence
and hellish maliciousness, attempted to
disturb the solemnities of the occasion by
preventing the decoration of his dead
soldier brothers grave. We are not
anxious to gratify the gentleman (!) by
bringing him into notice. We therefore
withhold his name from the public and
forscar further comment.

Richard Waters and George Musser, two
old soldiers of the Ivar of 1812, died at
their residences in this city. Thus, one
by one, the old veterans are passing away.
