    JREOHIIPES-
Certain Cure for Nervous Headache.
1 oz. of Sulphuric Ether, 1 oz. of Laud
anum, 1 oz. of Camp Spirits of Laven
der, 12 drops of Oil of Mint. Mix them
right vvell before taking, }to 1 teas
poonful in 2 of water, every half hour,
until you are relieved.
Fruit Cake. —2* lb-*, sugar, 2 dozen
eggs, 3 lbs flour, 4 lbs. fruit,2 lbs. rai
sins, 2 lbs. currants, 2 nutmegs,a little
cinnamon and 2 pounds butter.
A Nice Johnny Cake —Take onequart
of coarse Indian meal; one quart of
sweet milk, two tcaspoonfuls of cream
of tartar; one of soda; four eggs; beat
well; salt, bake in a quick oven till
nicely brown.
Ink Recipes —Put two ounces each
of gum arabic, extract of logwood,
powdered riutgall*, and copperas, in a
stone jug with a quart of hot water;
set the jug in a kettle of water on the
stove, lor twelve hours Shake it up
Occasionally, and it will be fit for use
in about a month. Frost does not in
jure it I have used this for eighteen
