j#-The religious meetings held by Rev.
j r Baker at Ycagertown closed on Mon-
JV evening last, having, during their con
nuance, induced nearly one hundred per-
residents of that neighborhood, to
rofess faith in the gospel, most of whom J
ave become members of the church.— i
Jhese circumstances are doubly gratifying
rum the fact that there had been but little

The meetings in the Methodist Church

Thursday last, while as-isting to raise a

he purjiose of getting it on a wagon. In
ittempting to move a block his hand was

being only a few present several minutes
elapsed before the hand was got out. The
accident occurred at the feeder near Mc-

One bottle will cure iscaly Eruption of the Skin.
Two to three bottles me warranted to cure the worst
case of Ringworm.
Two to three bottles arc warranted to cure the most
desperate case of Rheumatism.
Three to four bottle* are warranted to cure the Sat!
Rheum
Five to eight bottles will cure the worst case of Scrol
ula
A benefit is always experienced from lite first bottle,
1 and a perfect cure is warranted when the above quanti
{ ty is taken.
, Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this in the
vicinity of Bn-iou. I know the effect of it in every case.
; So sure as waier will extinguish fire, so mire will this
i cure humor. I never sold a bottle of it hut that sold an
other; after a trial it always speaks for itself. There
! are two things about this herb that appear* to me *ur-
Prasing ; first that it grows in wor pastures, in some pla
• ce* quite plentiful, and yet its value has never been
known until I discovered it in lb Iti—second, I hat il should
cure all kinds of humor
In order lo give some idea of the sudden rise and great
popularity of the discovery, I w ill state that in April,
1853. I peddled it and sold about six bottles per Jay—in
April, 1854, I sold over one thousand bottles per day of it.
Some of the wholesale Druggists who ha ve been in
1 business twenty and thirty years, say llial nothing in the
annals of patent medicines was ever like it. There is a
universal praise of it from all quarters.
In my own practice I alwayskept it sirictly for humors
—but sinre its introduction asa general family medicine,
great and wonderful virtues have been found in it that I
I never suspected.
Several cases of epileptic fits—a disease which was
always < oiisidered inc urable, have been cured by a few
boiiles. O, what a mercy if it will prove effectual in all
cases of that awful malady—there are few who have
seen more of it than I have.
I know of several cases of Dropsy, all of them aged
I people, cured by it. For the v.irmns disease* of the Liv
er, Sick Headache, Dyspepsia, Asthma, FeVr.r and Ague,
1 Pain in lite Side. Diseases of the Spine, and particularly
I in disease* of the Kidneys, 4tc., the discovery has done
more good than any medicine ever known.
No change of diet ever necessary—eai the best yon
get and plenty of it.
DIRECTIONS FOB Use.—Adults one table spoonful per
day—Children over 10 years, dessert spoonful—Childten
! from 5 toB year*, tea-spoonful. As no directions can be

Da. II aroma* treats Consumption, Bioni hit is. I.nryng
tis, Asthma, and all diseases of the Throat by MEDICA
TED INHALATION.
The great point in the treatment of all human maladies
is to gel at ihe disease in a direct maimer. All medicine*
are estimated by their action upon the organ requiring
relief. This is Ihe important fact upon w Inch Inhalation
is based If the stomach is diseased, we take medicine
directly into the stomach. .If the lungs are diseased,
breathe or inhale medicated vapm. directly into them. —
The reason why Consumption and diseases of ihe Lunge
have heretofore resisted all treatment, been because
they were not approached in a direct manner by medicine.
They were intended to be local, and yet they w ere o ad
ministered that they could only act constitutionally, ex
pending their immediate action upon the stomach, whilst
the foul ulcers wilbin the Lungs weie unmolested, k
halation brings the medicine into direct contact wub the
disease, without the disadvantage of any violent action.
Its application is so simple that it may be employed by
the youngest infant or feeblst invalid. Il does not tie
range the stomach, or interfere in the least with the
strength, comfort or business of the patient.
