Storm, of Stroudsburg, was nppointed presl. dent judge ot the Carbon-Monroe district to succeed the late lamented Judge Dreher. Mr. Storm had been at Hartlsburg for a tew days prior to hli appointment and his elevation was therefore not a surprise. John B. Storm was born In Monroe county lu 1838. He graduated at Dick inson College lu 1801, and two years later was admitted to the bar la Stroudsburg. At the same time he was made County Superintendent of Public Schools, and filled that position seven years. In 1870 he was nominated for Congress after an exoltlng struggle and atthat time served four years In tbe House.
