An anecdote is told of Dricsbach, tho
once famous lion tamer, who died on his
farm in Ohio a few days ago, aged 70, a jioor
but contented man. At an exhibition given
in New York twenty years ago, ho was taken
out of a cago covered with blood, and appar
ently dreadfully injured, after a severe fight
with a tiger. Tho audienco shrieked and
much horror was expressed. For a fortnight
afterward Dricsbach appeared with his arm
in u sling and his face covered with bits of
plaster. Then it leaked out that ills wounds
were imaginary , the gore had como from a
sponge filled with roso-pinlc, and the wholo
performance was nothing but a clover piece
of advertising.
It is stated that for thrco years past cer

Wealthy than btudious, havo been accus

the printer. By thus knowing in advanco
tho questions to bo asked at examination,
they were enabled to pass erfect cxamina

twenty members of the last graduating class
at Harvard would havo failed to pass tho
examination for tho degree of A. 11. but for
this underhand purchaso system. Tho cor
ruption has but recently come to tho cars of
the Faculty, and tho printer, who had been
making money by a breach of trust, has
been discharged. This is tho second caso of
students buying up examination papers of
recent occurrence the first being tho bribery
of a tutor by freshmen to show tho paper ho
was to give at an examination about to tako
place. Kos(i 1'ost.
