It will be composed of delegates from the Classes of East Pen na., Lebanon, Philadelphia, Ooshen hoppen, New York, Lancaster, East Susquehana and West Susquehanna. It includes geographically tbc eastern portion of PeLnsylvanla and New York. A fnrge portion of Its territory and ot its ministry and membership was organized, several years ago, Into what Is now the Synod of the Potomao, com prising parts of Southern Pennsylvania, Marylaud, Virginia and North Carolina. The Synod that meets in this city Is not a general but a delegate body. its membership being composed of one delegate minister and ono elder for every six ministers of the district repre sented. The thirty-five ministerial and thirty-five lay delegates will therefore represent eight classes, two hundred ministers, four hundred and thirty-three congregations and about sixty five thousand adult members. Correspond ing delegates from sitter churches will occupy seats In this body, though the greater part of this correspondence Is now cooductcd by the general synods of the churches interested.
