Two or thren weeks ago we pub lished a communication from a "Tax payer," asking Information in regard to the payment of the militia tax of fifty cents. Upon further in quiry we find that the tax for 1871 was levied and a-sessed previous to the re peal of the law In April la.t, and there fore the Commissioners have authoilztd its collection, and the opinion of par ties competent to know is that its pay ment must be made for 1873.
